Surface treatment and some more about the Ballpoint pen

Instead of drawing new stuff and right my wrongs, im fooling around with photoshop trying to make this drawing look more appealing with a dash of red.
I like my newly discovered surface treatment of desaturating something to make the black and white contrast more to the collour bits.
I feel I have to mention that I ove my rediscovering the ballpoint pen as a potential for making great stuff to Dennis Dread who I have a link to on this blog.
I am probably going to ink traditional for the most part, but I intend to keep doing ballpoint pen stuff for smaler parts of my comics, to see how that might evolve...

My Collouring problem solved? page 1 - 2

I tried selective desaturation in photoshop, to see what happend, this I think looks a lot better and makes my comics less tiresome reading if colloured this way...

My Collouring problem solved?

Seems like this solved my collouring problem...

The Varjager Short: Mare page 1-2

This is the short I did trying out the ballpoint pen...
It is the prequel to the four part story: Stallo that I am currently working on.
This part of the backstory to Varjager`s protagonist Orvar-Odd
I will print it as a kind of flyer or card format comic to advertise my blogg.

The Varjager short: Mare page 3-7

I figgured out that although it was interesting to put in a collour in the black and white, I blundered with it this time.
The protagonist is still the protagonist anyway, and the atention pulling red makes other important characters kind of fade away.
I liked this comic better desaturated, but chose to show the collour version since I learned something from it.
I might try puting in a collour in sertain places at a later time too, but I will have to be more consecvent with it.

Older comic outings: Gjest (Guest) page 1-5

This was a comic I did last year that is in some ways in the same vein as what I am trying to do with Varjager, now it functions as a reminder of all the things i have to work alot more on...

This is a tad to many pages of a comic to post in a blog, so it might seem that I have misunderstood the point of the blogg medium.
But its just to get it out of the way, so that i can feel done with it...
